Prof. Tingsheng Qiu received a B.S. in mineral engineering from the Jiangxi Institute of Metallurgy in 1985. He received an M.S. in Mineral Processing Engineering from the Central South University of Technology in 1993. He received a Ph.D. in Mineral Processing Engineering from the University of Science and Technology, Beijing, in 2006. From 2012 to 2013, he was a Senior Visiting Scholar in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of New South Wales, Australia. Currently, he is a professor at the College of Resource and Environmental Engineering, Jiangxi University of Science and Technology. He is also an executive director for the China Rare Earth Society and a member of the Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation Committee. His research interests include the green extraction of rare earths, the efficient separation of minerals, solid waste resource utilization, and environmental protection.
